The picture review

Today I want to tell about the work of art which had impressed me strongly. You can see it above, it is called  Boiserie from the Hôtel de Varengeville.This work was made in 1736-1752 by unknown painter.It belongs to French culture, medium: Oak, plaster, painted and gilded; gilt bronze; mirror glass, etc. It is rather beautiful picture, here we can see a room in a hotel, according to its luxury furniture I can say this room was belonged to some rich person. The big quantity of burning candles impart something mysterious and special to this place.  The part of the picture I liked pretty much is that this room reflects the part of itself in the mirror. The one more thing which pleased my look is inwrought carpet spreading all over the floor. I don't think that painter wanted to express something special, some feelings or something like that. Probably he tried, but in any case I see just a picture of the room. Nevertheless as I said I really impressed, because the painter was such a great master, that he managed to paint such beauty and to express the spirit of the classicism period.
